Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, follows sustainable practices in the kitchen, from energy-efficient food preparation, non-toxic cleaning, recycling, and water conservation to purchasing locally produced food and beverages whenever possible. Donations are made to local food banks when appropriate and all other organic waste is disposed of in the “Digester,” which means virtually “zero” organic waste is disposed of in landfills.
SAVOR is an industry leader in introducing green standards and programs to public
meeting facilities. As the food and beverage provider, we have worked closely with the community to develop environmentally friendly options.
SAVOR also integrates farm-to-table initiatives into all of our operations. We purchase our fruits and vegetables through Farm Fresh Produce, a company that sources local farms. This not only assures our
conference facility customers of the freshest and most naturally flavorful ingredients, it allows us to help the local economy by supporting regional growers.
Initiatives aimed at minimizing our carbon footprint include banning polystyrene foam products from the facility, purchasing locally produced and sustainably raised products, sourcing sustainable seafood, using non-petroleum-based products, and recycling.

Broward County Convention Center and SAVOR offer a broad menu of services tailored specifically for the needs of our clients. We have extensive experience catering every type of occasion, from cocktail receptions and buffets to trade show exhibitor entertaining and large sit-down dinners.
