Convention Center Events

The Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center specializes in running successful and memorable events. Exhibitors trust our conference venue to deliver their best to the attendees. Our convention center is known as "the convention center that meeting planners love" because our knowledgeable staff assists event planners in every department to ensure that things go smoothly when the big day finally arrives.

The Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center has hosted major events throughout the years, including car and boat shows, major sporting events, and graduations. It has hosted the Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition, the Exxxotica Expo, Wheel of Fortune, and served as the Media Center for Super Bowl XLIV. It has served more than 5 million guests and 5,500 meetings since opening its doors in 1991. For news and information on upcoming events, visit the convention center events calendar page at http://ftlauderdalecc.com/calendar.html. Many events are listed as private, but there are many other events that welcome public attendance. Public events can include everything from food expos to car auctions.

Our LEED-certified, 600,000-square-foot conference facilities offer state-of-the-art technology, free Wi-Fi, creative food and beverage options that rival the finest restaurants, and flawless service each and every time you visit. There is also plenty of convenient, covered parking and 24 hour on-site building security. The Fort Lauderdale Convention Center is nestled on the Intracoastal Waterway and surrounded by all that South Florida has to offer. The building is a five-minute drive from the airport, within walking distance of many local hotels, and less than one mile from Fort Lauderdale's famed Blue Wave beaches.
